Located near Exit 4 of Sangsu Station in Mapo-gu, Seoul, 'Korea Restaurant (Hongdae branch)' is a popular spot known for its Korean set meals (baekban), and was one of the regular restaurants Im Young-woong frequented since his pre-fame days. Among the many Korea Restaurant locations nationwide, this place is referred to as 'Im Young-woong's pilgrimage site.'
Lim Young-woong, who lived in Hapjeong-dong, often visited this place located toward Hapjeong from Exit 4 of Sangsu Station. After he became publicly known and customers started pouring in from across the country, the restaurant began separately packing and selling side dishes for fans who couldn't get a meal. There are about 30 menu items, including spicy stir-fried pork (jeyuk-bokkeum), soybean-pulp stew (kongbiji-jjigae), and galbi set meals. The jeyuk-bokkeum that Lim enjoyed uses pork shoulder with just the right amount of fat attached, making it deliciously spicy, and the kongbiji-jjigae is famous for its 'mother's home-cooked' taste with large pieces of aged kimchi and oyster mushrooms. It is now loved not only by fans but also by local residents as a 'Sangsu Station baekban' favorite.
